07/02/2019: Four multihulls already registered for the 2019 Palermo-Montecarlo
Four yachts registered, four multihulls: last year's extraordinary participation of the trimaran Ad Maiora owned by Bruno Cardile is inspiring many other owners... In fact, thanks to the direct involvement of the Italian Multihulls Association chaired by Lorenzo Bergamini, the first four yachts registered for the XV edition of Palermo -Montecarlo are multihulls, including the same Ad Maiora which has been the fastest to formalize the registration.
We remind that one of this year's novelties concerns catamarans and trimarans: in fact, the multihulls will finally be able to officially participate in the regatta with a MOCRA measurement certificate.
The Palermo-Montecarlo is a regatta organized by the Circolo della Vela Sicilia, with the support of the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. The start of the race is scheduled for 12 o'clock on 21st August, the route is long 500 nautical miles between Sicily and the Principality of Monaco, with the passage of a "gate" in front of Porto Cervo, in Sardinia. The important presences on board of the Fondazione Sicilia and of the partner Tasca d'Almerita have already been confirmed.
