This year, Malizia II and Lucky are the most awaited boats on the starting line. A young and exuberant team on IMCOA 60 of Pierre Casiraghi, just arrived to the Fastnet race finishing line (third of its class in two days 17 hours 55 minutes) opposed to a close team that takes in part together for 2007. Onboard Lucky, Marc Lagesse is the most important name for owner Bryon Ehrhart. Both owners have the passion for off-shore races: Casiraghi, with his young German skipper Boris Herrmann prefers to fly on the foils and his aim is in Vendée Globe 2020. Ehrhart, instead, chose a strong Reichel-Pugh 63’ to win the Sidney-Hobart in 2011 and the Transatlantic Race in 2015. Palermo-Montecarlo Regatta will be an opportunity to see together two different boats with a common aim: to reach new Regatta record.
